Happy Moonlighting

Who says sidelines are troublesome? They're actually very good outlets to hone your skills and indulge your interests. They only become a burden when you prioritize part-time jobs based on financial gain and not on what you really want to do. The thing is, you can initially earn more if you choose the former, but covering it in the long run, you'll last longer and live happier with the latter. So think long-term.

With that said, here are great sidelines for the creative souls. I've actually been doing them for a couple of years now. And not only have my pockets become relatively bulkier, my stress level and bursts of temper have also greatly simmered down. It's all good.

(1) Designing Accessories
Fashion is always in. So if you have an eye for fresh and quirky, why not try your hand in designing those beads and baubles? For earrings and necklaces, you only need the right purchase of raw materials and the basic know-how of stringing things together, and you're all set to experiment. You can also surf the web or leaf through magazines to get more inspiration and fantastic ideas on your projects.

(2) Professional Blogging & Writing
Writing now is big business. So if you write like a pro, jump on this good opportunity. There's web copywriting, guest blogging, ad copywriting, essay writing, and a lot more. You only have to choose which among all these freelance writer jobs will be your niche.

(3) Floral Arranging
Do you sometimes catch yourself rearranging the flowers your man just gave you? True enough, creating your own floral arrangements for your dear friends and family can be a good start of a financially rewarding activity. To start it off, search for a reliable supplier for your flowers. Floral wires, foams, and other wrapping materials can usually be found in craft stores.

(4) Candle Making
Candles are a fun way to spice up the home, which is why most people now have scented ones stored in every crook of their houses. It's a bit like baking because you have to blend the ingredients together first, and then present it in the most appealing way possible.

With all these four, the operative word is 'experiment.' It's already a given that competition will be tough, and so, the only way to rise up is to nail the freshest and most appealing product for your market.
